The Mountain Carousel sports and holiday compex is a world-class Olympic facility in Sochi, the capital of the 2014 Winter Olympics. Once all the construction work has been finished, the Mountain Carousel will be one of the largest ski resorts in Krasnaya Polyana and will include infrastructure needed to host the 2014 Olympics.

The Mountain Carousel complex conforms to the most exacting standards of quality and comfort. In addition to ski facilities, the project allows for all types of services to be provided in accordance with the latest requirements of the hospitality industry.

The ski runs and ski lifts at the complex are equipped with all the necessary safety measures. The service facilities at the Mountain Carousel already include a ski school, which is staffed by highly-qualified instructors, and the rental of modern ski equipment, while a children’s ski school will open shortly. As part of the programme, an Olympic media village is to be delivered by 2013, including 3-star hotels with an aggregate of 2,150 rooms and 100,000 square metres of space, and also a full range of on-site services – a shopping-cum-entertainment and a sports centre, a water park, tennis courts, restaurants, office space, car parking, a doctor’s surgery, administrative buildings, traffic control centres and so on. The total area under development is 950 hectares, the ski runs cover 135 hectares and their total length is 70 kilometres. Total costs of the project are in the region of 28.5 billion rubles.
